Nicolas Ellis, artistic director, is also music director of the Orchestre National de Bretagne, and first guest conductor of Les Violons du Roy. He regularly leads several ensembles in Canada and Europe
Since its foundation in 2013, the OA has donated over $430,000 to Canadian environmental and humanitarian organizations
As part of string orchestra tours, the Orchestra has presented more than twenty concerts across Quebec since 2019, praised by audiences and critics alike.
Each month, our musicians present workshop concerts to about sixty inmates at the Montreal Correctional Institution, as well as to patients from the geriatric psychiatry department of the Institut universitaire en santé mentale de Montréal.
