The\u202f Gala de la Terre<\/strong> \u202fof the Orchestre de l\u2019Agora invites the public to take an interest in initiatives aimed at protecting fragile ecosystems here in Quebec. Since 2020, the event has enabled $513,000<\/strong> to be donated to environmental causes.<\/p>\n

This year,\u202f $5 from each concert ticket<\/strong>\u202fwill be directed to\u202fNature Conservancy of Canada\u2019s\u202f project\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Le Saint-Laurent\u00a0<\/span><\/b>, which is dedicated to preserving and restoring lands along the\u202f Saint-Laurent River.\u202f Claude Champagne\u2019s\u202f Gasp\u00e9sienne Symphony\u202fwill be performed in tribute to this project.<\/p>\n

A true sensation at its creation, the\u202fRite of Spring\u202falways impresses, as much for its audacious rhythms as for its brilliant virtuosity.\u202f To open the Festival de Lanaudi\u00e8re, Nicolas Ellis\u202fand Orchestre de l\u2019Agora<\/strong> bring you a surge of shimmering colours and suave exoticism, in Stravinsky\u2019s vision of a \u201csacred Pagan rite.\u201d This follows Inuit throat singing, Claude Champagne\u2019s evocation of an ancient natural setting, and Ravel\u2019s portrait of Middle Eastern legend, first appearance at the Festival de Lanaudi\u00e8re for the wonderful soprano Julie Fuchs<\/strong>!<\/p>\n
